I just wanted to give another quick tip on getting your scrapbook project under way in order to keep those pictures from glaring at you behind boxes and closet doors.
Take your photos you would like to put in your book and pick a background and accent papers. Then, you can create a "basic" page. This means no frills or decorations yet. This gives me time to get the book organized and together to a certain point.
You can then create, or buy the items you need to add the finishing touches for this page. This is great because you don't have to settle for what you currently have at that moment. You can find something that would fit great on this page, and have time to think about how it should be decorated.
You can even custom order a paper piecing for this page, and just finish it when it is up on the site. I have been very excited about this tip because I have put more thought into my pages. I have also found it to be helpful in setting up my stage of creativity with out performing yet! I have the colors and the photos, and then I can take time to finish it when I have a great idea instead of the pressure of thinking of something catchy on the spot.
I can also enjoy the pictures in the book even though it is not finished yet. There are many wonderful resources on the Internet for poems and thoughts. This is a fun way to add meaning to your pages as well. Journaling is also a wonderful part of scrapbooking. I hope this tip is helpful
